One scan per project
E57, LAS, LAZ or PLY, up to 5 GB, in a local or an anchored frame. Terrestrial or mobile scans of facades; interiors are not supported yet.
How it works
Between those three steps AutoIFC reads your facade and measures it against your own point cloud. Here is what that means for you: what goes in, what comes back, and what you can check before anything is delivered.
Your side of it
One file per project, E57, LAS, LAZ or PLY, up to 5 GB, in a local or an anchored frame. Colour is used when the scan carries it. The facade area is measured from your points and quoted before anything is charged.
Every window, door, vent, railing, terrace, coping and wall is proposed as a real IFC element, in metres, in the facade's own frame. Each one carries how confident the read was.
A list and a 3D scene, side by side with your cloud. Accept, reject or edit each element, filter by class or status, act in bulk on a filtered list. Nothing is delivered that you have not seen.
IFC 4 in two variants, the proposal as generated and the reviewed model built from your decisions, with a PDF report. Credits are charged at the first download, on the area actually modelled.
What you can check
A terrestrial scan sees the face of a building. It does not see through it, and it does not see what a tree, a screen or a parked van stood in front of. So some dimensions are measured from your cloud and others are stated as a prior.
Every element in the file tells you which it is. Open the IFC in any viewer that shows property sets, sort by Measured, and you have your review list. That is checkable in your own model, on your own building, without taking our word for anything.
The share that ships measured is a property of the building and of the scan, not a promise. On a well scanned facade it is nearly all of it; on a thin street scan it is a minority, and it is exactly the part standing behind something.
| Scored set | Elements | Carry a measurement |
|---|---|---|
| Surveyed estate, building A | 653 | 98.6 % |
| Same estate, building B | 240 | 74.7 % |
| Same estate, building D | 235 | 70.3 % |
| Street scan, openings | 17 facades | 30 to 40 % |
Measured means your cloud carried the evidence for that dimension; the rest name what was assumed and why. Measured 13 September 2026.
Inputs and outputs
E57, LAS, LAZ or PLY, up to 5 GB, in a local or an anchored frame. Terrestrial or mobile scans of facades; interiors are not supported yet.
The three kinds are distinguished, and an "other" kind is kept for what cannot be named, so nothing is silently forced into a class.
The IFC in both variants, a PDF report, the viewer bundle and the cost ledger of the run. The IFC and the report charge the run on first download; the rest is free.
The viewer shows the scan as soon as it is uploaded, and the proposal when the run completes.
